Meals From The Heart

Round up your friends, family, or coworkers, and share comfort and care by preparing dinner for the families staying at our House. It’s a team-building activity with heart!

                           When are meal opportunities available?

Every day! There are opportunities to provide a meal every day. Dinner is served between 6 and 7 p.m. and opportunities for breakfast or lunch on weekends. 

 

                     How do I schedule a meal?
Fill out the application form below and the volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule a day that works for you!

 

                                   How many people can I bring?
Please note that group sizes must be limited due to safety regulations. RMH at can comfortably accommodate 7-10 people in the kitchen. 

 

                  What should I bring? 
Each Share-A-Meal group is asked to provide the meal for our families, either by purchasing it at a licensed retail food or purchasing ingredients to prepare at home or on-site in our kitchen.

We encourage healthy, well-balanced meals. Specific menu suggestions can be provided.

 

                       How much should I bring? 
The number of guests will vary on any given day. Best estimates can be provided a few days before your scheduled meal date. Please call the House to inquire about how many to plan for.

 

                           What Does RMHC of West Ga Provide?
Our House has a full-facility kitchen that includes stoves, microwaves, sinks, dishwashers, and an icemaker.

We also have a limited amount of canned and boxed foods such as pasta, rice, vegetables, pasta sauce, etc. You are welcome to visit prior to your meal date to search our pantry for items you can use to prepare your meal.

Also available:

Plates, cups/glasses, and utensils
Pots, pans, and bakeware
Serving dishes
Tin foil, plastic bags, plastic wrap and storage containers
