Additional Items to RecycleCell Phones The Ronald McDonald House is asking cell phone owners to answer the call and donate their used cell phones to the charity. Statistics show that 500 million used cell phones are lying around in the country and approximately 2 million are shelved or thrown in the trash each week. The Ronald McDonald House collects any and all types of cell phones, sends them to GRC Wireless Recycling, and then receives funds from our recycling partner for the phones. It's a simple, effective way to turn someone's trash into treasure for our charity! Printer Ink Cartridges The Ronald McDonald House also recycles printer ink cartridges and turns them into copy paper or other needed office supplies! We accept all original HP, Dell, Samsung, Brother, Canon, Epson, Kodak, Sharp, Apple, Xerox, Panasonic, and IBM/Lexmark. We do not accept cartridges or toners labeled "Premium Compatible" or "Remanufactured." Drop off all of your empty printer cartridges from your work or home office and we'll take them to a local office supply store and exchange them for office supplies. We also send certain large toner and ink jet cartridges to a company in Birmingham, AL who recycles them and sends us the funds. Please call Susan Yaksh, Associate Director, at (706) 321-0033 x 103 to see which cartridges are currently being accepted. |
